Many opportunities for sightseeing during your stay

You can enjoy a walk on the dike to reach the Mont Saint Michel in 20 minutes and discover its streets, museums, St Peter’s church and of course its famous Abbey.

Dare to cross the bay of Mont Saint Michel in the company of a professional guide, and learn about the phenomenon of the tides. If you prefer, you can relax enjoying a horse ride along the bay, or cycling on the banks of the Couesnon river, the hiking trail GR 34 and many other itineraries. At only 2 km from the bed and breakfast, you can visit the Moulin of Moidrey, Alligator Bay and much more.

At 20 kms from La Jacotiere you can visit Avranches, its scriptorial, the botanical garden and learn about the history that relies it to the Mont Saint Michel, with the skull of Saint Aubert. A short trip will also bring you to Dol de Bretagne, lovely medieval town with its gothic cathedral and the museum dedicated to medieval age constructions.

By taking the coast road towards Saint Malo, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the bay from the beaches and cliffs. Cancale is a must to enjoy oysters on the way from the fishing port. After the pointe of Grouin and discovering the Anse du Guesclin , you will discover the ancient walled city of Saint Malo, its ramparts, its beaches and its history. Continue your way towards Dinard and cross the Barrage de la Rance , you will arrive at Dinard , seaside town facing Saint Malo that offers you activities such a market and casino.

For the lovers of old stones, you need to go to Dinan, beautiful medieval town on the banks of the Rance river, and Fougères to visit the largest medieval fortress in Europe.

In the direction of Granville , discover the other side of the bay and enjoy magnificent views of the Mont Saint Michel at sunset from the cliffs of Champeaux (ideal for photography enthusiasts) . Closing the bay of Mont Saint Michel, Granville will offer its old town, its port, the casino and lovely beaches ...

Push a bit further your excursions and spend a day visiting the landing beaches , the American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer.
